Our Homeschool Bible Time...2010

The boys and I are reading this book for our class Bible time, called "The Names of God", by Marilyn Hickey. The first name we learned about is Elohim, found first in Genesis...meaning the God of might and power. It took might to create the heavens and the earth!!!

Today, we read about the name Jehovah and how it means the Lord who reveals. We read how God raised up Moses to deliver the children of Israel and how God revealed Himself as "I AM" to Moses from the burning bush. God told Moses to go back to Egypt, because he was ready to be the deliverer that He had called him to be. God raised up Moses to win!

We discovered that God raises up winners and we learned that when God is on your side you have nothing to fear!!!

"Now thanks be to God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ." We always WIN when we are IN CHRIST!!!

May Jehovah reveal Himself to you today!!!

2010!

Okay.... I really can't explain it, but I have had this stirring in my spirit.....an excitement. I just feel like God is moving my heart toward His even more this year. I have this hunger...this craving to know Him more, to encounter Him in a greater way....to have more of Him, to KNOW HIS heart. I listened to a message by Bill Johnson and in it he prophesied Isaiah 45 over people for the year 2010. These are the things that are spoken.....

* God will go before you
* He will make the crooked places straight
* cut bars of iron
* give you treasures (people) of darkness
* hidden riches in secret places

WHY?
* so you will know that He is the Lord and that He calls YOU by name!!!!

God Almighty wants you to know that He loves you and He, the one who rules, reigns, and creates, knows you personally, intimately!!! I am constantly awed at the fact that God wants to be with me.....wants me to be with him. He is so in love with me that He is overwhelmed....God is OVERWHELMED with just one glance of my eyes toward Him....He is overwhelmed with just one look you give Him.......wow.....

I really believe that 2010 is going to be awesome! There is no better time to fall passionately in love with the lover of your soul! I feel like there will be so much more to come................
